Living on my parents’ ratty brown couch

During the covid lock down

I guzzled down a story in which

A boy meets a girl.

/

Was it at a ball, a circus or dinner in a hotel suite?

Whatever it was, we don’t need to care.

The important part is that they hated each other.

The arrogance, the class, the pride loaded with prejudice.

No, thank you they said and left with their hearts intact.
