A long walk along the train track: A nature poem

This is a nature poem which takes me back to a very memorable evening in a hill-station. What does it remind you of? Let me know in the comments.

A LONG WALK ALONG THE TRAIN TRACK

The sound of crunching golden brown leaves fills my ears

As my boots hit the ground for my customary evening walk.

The swallows song wafts from the trees

Along with the smell that the season has a copyright on.

There is the sweet sweet sound of whistling.

Is it the wind in the trees or the train on the other side of the mountain?

You might be wondering.

Let a seasoned evening walker tell you that

It’s the whistle of the train winding along the curvy hill tracks,

Piercing it’s way through the whooshing sound of the wind

Through the trees along the train tracks,

Creating a beautiful symphony of musical sounds

And making my long evening walk along the tracks

An experience to be had and recommended.
