If a Memorable Day was Bottled As a Perfume: A nostalgia poem

If a Memorable Day was Bottled as a Perfume

A cool April day

In Manali

Spent cafe hopping

And slow walking

Through the woods

With tall pines and oaks.

I sat on a stone

Opened a book

And found myself lost

In the secrets of

A hidden world.

/

Years later

When I described

This day to a friend of mine,

She gifted me a scent

With notes of chocolate, cinnamon

Oak and cedarwood bark.

The warm dashing

Fragrance promises

To take me to

That lovely spring

Day in my past.
