Losing Herself in His Presence: A poem

In the quiet solitude of the silent night

She softly gazes at the picture

On her oakwood nightstand.

She feels his presence

In the gentle rustle

Of the peach curtains,

In the soft chimes of the bells

In the windowsill,

In the feeling of being in a cocoon

When it’s just you and your feelings

In the middle of a silent night.

She wraps herself up in his presence

And let’s herself go

Somewhere far away in her thoughts

Forgetting about the world for the next few peaceful hours.
